The annual Sturgis Motorcycle rally played a prominent role in both The Third Revolution and Middle America. In the first book Joe Adams rode his Norton; by the second book, he was aboard a stroker Harley. Here's a small taste courtesy the Legendary Buffalo Chip Campground:
