Kea - one tough looking parrot...

There's nothing soft and cuddly about these guys - they look like hookbilled hawks to me. Even if their numbers somehow managed to increase so that they're no longer endangered, I think it will be a long time before we see these suckers in a pet store. I suffered my share of parrot bites, but I'm not sure I'm ready to be eviscerated by one...
