Spix's Macaw - the world's rarest bird...

This bird is thought to be extinct in the wild - the last one having disappeared in the year 2000. No sightings in the wild have been made since then. There are approximately 120 specimens now held in captivity, making it, unfortunately, the world's rarest birds.
