A little while ago I posted a piece about radioactive dinnerware. In brief, red Fiestaware made from 1936 through 1943, and from 1959 through 1969, used Uranium as a coloring agent in the glaze. Watch this:

Yeah, I thought it was pretty funny when I stumbled across the fact. There're not supposed to be dangerous, but if I were displaying a collection, I'd put them on a tall shelf in a seldom-used room...
