Start the heavy lifting.

I just received my copy of the 1,200 page, seven pound Handbook of Bird Biology, published by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. I ordered it to be used as a reference guide for Little Birdies!. It covers everything, likely in more detail than I'll need...reproductive biology, evolution, flock behavior, vocal communications, etc. Can't wait to dig in.

I haven't forgotten about Middle America. I'm up to Chapter 32 on the second editing pass. Lots of red marks so far...
