Maltreated parrots...

Here's an enlightening video about the unconscionable abuse some birds suffer at the hands of their humans, and the role a rescue shelter/home can play in their recovery, rehabilitation and restoration of dignity to a wild animal that did nothing to deserve such cruel treatment:
